initial fuel pressure and timing
Hey guys whats up, getting the 351w finished first time with this engine, was wondering
what initial fuel pressure and timing should I set just after the first start-up, 351w .30over
AFR 185 heads, 10.5-1 compression, trick flow R upper and lower 75mm throttle body, 42lb injectors,
MSD pro billet distributor, 10.4mm wires etc etc, anything to get me in the ball park thanks.

RE: initial fuel pressure and timing
I cant help you with fuel pressure, i'm carbed. My engine is 11.1 and my dizzy is locked out at 33 degree's timing. You can probably run a little higher, maybe 35-37. Total timing should be in at about 2500-3000 rpms and then you can adjust initial timing accordingly. Start with 15 and see where your at.

Yeah, me too... Can't help you with the fuel pressure cause I'm carbed as well. Sorry. But I also am running around 11:1 compression and a 15 degree initial timing (vaccum advance line disconnected) gives me a great start-up on the motor. My total advance is 36 degrees all in at about 3000 revs.without any pings!

RE: initial fuel pressure and timing
fuel pressure should be whats specified for the fuel injectors to properly opperate, FRPP states all their flow rates are ran at 39.15 psi, To convert to a delta pressure of 43.5 psi, multiply flow rate by 1.054. so if u need more fuel run 43.5 if your not lean run 39.15, for timing id start at 10-12* advance and work your way up from there
