Default 351w oil pan

to put one in a fox i need the stock 351 oil pan? or the 302? or a special on for the swap?

You need the 351w conversion double sump pan, ford racing has one.

(i know im prolly asking some dumb questions) just to clear things up, why cant i use the stock 351 oil pan?

you can use a stock pan from a 1983 ford Crown vic with a 351, but by the time you buy the dipstick, pickup tube, and the gasket.... you'll have more in it then just getting the kit from FMS or summit.
