What are the specs on that cam. You wont need too much cam with those heads and intake, you'll hurt performance. I agree, those heads are **** on 302's, and they will be worse with 50 more ci. If your budget doesnt allow better heads, we've all been there. Not everyone is like 92civy who still live's at home
(just messing with you). Anyway if you cant afford better heads at this point i see no reason to put a performance cam in right now. Wait untill you buy heads and then get a cam to match. Nothing wrong with running a stock block for now because at least it's there and you can build it in the future.

Yeah, Get the engine in stock. Then add performance parts as $ comes in.
And FAST,I do still live at home, LOL! I am not even 18 yet! This saturday I turn 18. I start my Apprenticeship soon!
A stock 351w Is still a good improvment over a stock 302.

A stock 351w with headers and a 4 barrel carb put out around 250 hp and 350 torque. At least that is what ford racing performance parts catalog stock crate motor that they sell puts out. So you could probably see about 200-225 hp and probably 275-300 in torque. Change the heads out and you will raise those numbers signifigantly.
