Im doing a 351 swap and I dont know if I want to use shorties of spend the extra cash and get long tubes, does anybody have the shorties?I want to do the swap with as little money as I can.

 

man, of all things to skimp on, I don't think this is where I would do it man.

 

yea i think long tube headers would be better for ya..tha what im goin with..im doin the same swap...u can find good deals on some long tube headers (somtimes new..but mainly used) and u can alwasy touch em up with blakc paint to make em look better

 

I've made over 700 rwhp through the hooker swap shorties....

 

I think Im going with some longtubes, what brand should I go with, bbk's the mac's......

 

i have not installed mine yet but i bought some bbk longtubes that are ceramic coated (wanted them to look good for a long time) theyseem to beof high quality. way better than what they used to be.

 

my buddys dad has the bbk's but in chrome, they are nice, I just wonder about the mac longtubes

not to hijack the tread but, i have heard that some longtubes don't work with automatic trannys, what brand headers are you guys running C4s using? is it true that the BBks won't work with automatic trannys?
