Default fuel pump rely location?????

Please help, I have a 1986? Stang with a 87 front clip, convertible with a 5.0 HO. I can't seem to locate the fuel pump relay, two days ago the fuel pump would not turn on. Today it won't stop. I have a relay near the coil but when it is unplugged the pump still runs. Is there another problem such as the reg valve? I would appreciate some help.
Thanks,
The Yooper

you could always pull the fuse in the dash to make it stop

not sure if it has anything to do with your problem ...but if you dont know you should know that there is an inertia switch inside the trunk near the driver side tail light that will also shut off the pump

I think your FP relay would be under your driver seat. This could be the culprit

YOU have 2 fuel pump relays, One under the drivers seat and one behind the kickpanel on the passenger side of the car, its probably the one one the passangerside since it shut off when you slemmed the passenger side door!

The Relay under the passenger kick panel is the relay for the computer not the FP..

I'm having an issue and have done nothing but read up on these relay issues haha!

I checked under both seats, passenger kick panel, no relay, It's going to snow here in a couple weeks the the stang is going to be taken apart and repainted then. I will be able to locate it at that time. For now it works. Thanks for all the info. I will be looking for parts in a month or two. I appreciate the help.
