Default Ignition question

My brother has a 1993 LX 2.3 and he's doing a 351W carburated + T-5 from his '87 GT in it.

What distributor should we use? Duraspark II or EEC-IV?
Is it hard to run a Duraspark into the '93 car?

Thanks for your time

I would say that its going to depend on what intake manifold your using. If your doing anything larger then a performer rpm type intake your going to need a disy that is taller then a stock one.

I can't comment on whether its easy to do or not since I just have an MSD setup on my car.

you can run the duraspark dist, i do on all mine, the first thing i do is ditch the factory vacumn advance can and install a fresh adjustable one, available from summit. itll allow you to dial in the advance. easy to install just find a complete setup at the junk yard and remove the harness. the harness will include provisions for the dizzy, coil, and factory ford ignition module. you can wire in an aftermarket ignition box easily. i use a crane ignition box after the msd crap kept leavin me sit! in my opinion there coils and dizzys are ok but ill never use there boxes again. if you use the factory ford module which you can theres nothing wrong with them, extremely reliable, it just takes a power and ground and your up and runnin!
