I put a 351 in a '98 v6. If you have skill and the right tools and some common sense its not that hard. Not cheap though.

As far as bolt in, I believe the 94 & 95 k-members are fine. I used an aftermarket tubular one for that year. If im not mistaken the 5.0 mounts work. my auto bolted right to it (not sure about T5) I know there is an aftermarket bell housing for a T5 to 351. Had to shorten drive shaft about 1" - 1 1/2". Headers are a nightmare. There are no true bolt ins, unless something has changed in the last 2-3 years. I used some long tubes and "bent" them myself.

Wiring can be tricky. You absolutely need a shematic like in the back of a chilton manual. You will have to make a custom wiring harness and splice into the fire wall mounted pig tail and run your leads out to the sensors if you dont plan on installing new gauges. I reused most of the sensors so I had the same connectors.

There is alot more, but when you start doing it shoot me an email if you need help.
I have a ton of pictures if you need any.

Oh I should mention that depending on what intake you use, your stock hood may not work.

I wast sure if the late model T5's where different or not, or if bolt pattern was the same from the 4.6 to 351. Good to know, as I was just looking into different transmission options.

My 4r70w auto off of a 3.8L bolted right to it.

T5 bellhousings yes, they work on all SBF engines, but the 4.6 motors use either a T45 or Tremec 3650 that will not work on the SBF do to the integrated bellhousing. neither one of them are the strongest things either as the modular motors arent exactly known for blowing the tires off down low lol

thats why I think I may just continue to run my current trans, but beef up the internals down the line and just do a full manual valve body switch shortly. Running it with a separate computer now, jerry rigged through a TPS sensor on the manifold from throttle linkage. =( ok for cruiz mode but I cant ever get it dialed in right for full throttle action. Always hangs up 1-2nd

the 351 is so much fun though. and SO EASY to work on. I need to get out here soon and show her some love after a long winter in storage, lol.
