Default K Member Compatibility

I'm working on a 351 swap into my mustang and I had a question about the k member compatibility. I know a 94 or 95 GT will work but will the k member out of a fox body work in my 2000 for mounting the 351W?

Yes, but only if the rear mounting holes are slotted like on our UPR K-member. There is about a 1/2" difference in the location of those holes from the fox to the SN95 bodies.

See how ours are slotted (the bolt holes farthest away from you in this pic)

ok so i can get a fox k member and just open up the rear mounting holes a little bit and it will fit right? that makes it a little bit easier. i also plan on getting a MSD 6200 to run the engine, what's a good distributor type to use? and would anyone have a used one they would be selling?

I was always under the impression that the fox body K-member will not bolt into the New Edge and that the 94-95 was the only K-member that was compatible. Outside of using the 94-95 I was told there is a company that makes K-members specifically for the pushrod > New Edge swap.

Our 79-95 k-member can be used in a 96-04 car, but it has motor mount pads for a pushrod motor. So like you're saying, you can use the UPR Products 79-95 k-member to put a 302 or 351 in a New Edge car.

Not to thread hijack - but UPRSHARAD can you pm me - I have a question about identifying a UPR KMember I bought - bought it from a guy who said its for a 5.0 in fox/94,95 5.0

Something makes me wonder...the motor mount locations are strange.

That looks like it might be our old style 79-95 5.0 k-member. You can call the shop at 561.588.6630 and discuss it with them if you want to be sure.
