351 Windsor Running Slow Need Help

Default 351 Windsor Running Slow Need Help

I have a 1993 mustang with a 351 swap full msd ignition crower cam ported and polished
Heads 60s era truck I was told 650 double pumper holley carb weiand stealth intake
3:73 gears the timing is retarted 2 degrees which I haven't used but It
Doesn't sound right that I'm getting beat by stock Z28 camaros is anything wrong

Your combination looks a bit mismatched. Do you have more specs on the cam? More details on the heads? Compression ratio?

As for the stock Z/28s beating you, what year/engine type are we talking here? IROCs? LT1s? LS1s? The new SS?

Going back to the combo you have...I'd say it's good enough to get the car running but nothing beats a matched combo. You can get a nice Edelbrock top end that will wake your car up. And you can buy/install the components one piece at a time. Check Ebizzy and C-list...

It was a LT1 six speed with a intake and the cat knocked out should I get a F303 cam or something else? As for the intake what kind should I use from edelbrock thanks.

Don't get any of the letter cams. I have an E cam but the car came with it already installed. That garbage is coming out first chance I get.

What else do you know about that engine? What about the parts in it? Your entire engine sounds like it might be mismatched. Any way you can find out exactly what you're dealing with?

I know that the block is a 306 as far as the compression and internals is anyones guess if you have my setup what would you begin to change anything helps

The block is a 306 and the heads are from a 351 I was told idk how to post pics on here yet but when I do will post pics

A 306 with 351 heads does not make the engine a 351...
