Headlight Switch
I am going to install a GT grille in my V6. One option is to replace the headlight switch that comes with the V6 with the GT switch. Question: Is there any time you can't use the foglights because the design of the switch prevents it? For example if the headlights are on high beam the fogs go off. I am going to put driving lights in there instead of the fogs so I want to be able to use the driving lights any time I want.
I have the street scenes wiring harness hooked up to my GT fogs. I used the switch that came with the harness. My fogs stay on while the high beams are on. Although, my foglights will only work when the headlights are turned on.
Also, keep in mind that a stock GT grill will not fit a stock v6 bumper without a good amount of modification. You either have to buy a GT takeoff bumper or buy an aftermarket GT style grill.

I replaced the V6 switch with a GT switch W/fogs.
There is a physical limiter in the switch that does
not allow fogs without the clearance lights being
on also. This 'tab' can be removed for fogs/driving
lights only but it does not retain the 'you left your
lights on' chimes. The no fogs with the high beams i
a logic function of the Smart Junction Box. The V6 SJB
does not have the fog light logic so the fogs will
need to be hardwired into the GT headlight switch
as well as a fuse and lighting relay being needed
as well.
I added a second logic relay that causes the fogs
to illuminate when the high beams are 'ON' even if
the fogs are 'OFF"
P.S.
Th GT grill wont fit the V6 front facia,
you need the GT bumper as well.
It WONT fit with even major modification.
Dont let anyone tell you different.....
