Dual Exhaust thread #99999999
I was just searching through AmericanMuscle for different things and I came across this http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-...l-catback.html
Can someone explain the difference between that kit and the FRPP Dual Exhaust kit (other than the fact its $200 Cheaper).
Also do the exhaust tips on those stick out a lot farther than the FRPP Dual Exhaust's? I dont like the look of them sticking out very far.

It doesn't say what the tip size is on the mufflers, but I would guess it's about the same length as the frpp's. Here's a link to the the kit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBOqXOdinRw
Just FYI, the frpp kit comes with the GTB's now, not the GTA's no matter what any web site's say! Just got my kit a few days ago

That price is not the cheapest you can find.
Pypes offers the kit minus the mufflers, I've
seen it as cheap as $269.00. Mufflers are
a choice based on sound and looks. Regular
GT takeoffs are a good alternatives and come
in various models, reg GT stick/auto, rolled tip
GTCS, Bullit etc. I have regular GT muffs and
they have a deep but mellow tone, not loud on
a V6. Plenty of pics and sound clips on this site.
Use them to make your choice. Pypes are ss.
Would benefit you in the frozen tundra area you
live. Check ebay and others for price.

^^GTBs look like a cheese-grader inside.
OP, there's not a huge difference between the Pypes and FRPP kit. They both feature an X-pipe, so they're both true duals. They both come with two new midpipes and hangers. The difference really is the brand and the mufflers. Do you want Pypes or FRPP? That's the difference...

Is this kit everything I need for the installation??
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...Q5fAccessories
Or will that require additional parts?
Also would that kit void my factory warranty?
Also anyone know what the tip size on GT mufflers is? Are they 4" or 3.5"?

Everything is there. Only three steps additional needed for install.
1. Cut your Y pipe so you can slip on the X pipe. Instructions tell
how and where.
2. Tap several existing inserted holes for drivers side muffler hanger.
3. Cut bumper on drivers side opening to match other side. The only
other thing is removing the existing intermediate V6 pipe. You need
to jack up car fairly high, (a lift is perfect) to snake the V6 pipe out
over the rear axle.
Hope you have a heated garage/shop this time of year up there.
If you have access to a sawsall, so much the better for cutting the
y pipe. Make sure you measure with the X pipe and remeasure to
get the cuts in the right place. The rest is slipfit and clamp. Use a
little neverseize on the slipjoints and bolts before assembly. Adjust
pipes and mufflers for frame/body clearance before torquing down clamps/bolts.
Tips are various sizes depending on muffler used.
