hey guys,
Today i made a stop by the local 5.0 shop for the first time just to see what they had to offer. Anyway to make a long story short it was an awesome visit and they were the most helpfull people in giving me advice for performance for my car. Now to the point of why this is in drivetrian lol. They said that if i wasnt going to go with a f/i that they recomend a nitrous setup...3.73's or 4.10's (personal pref.) with a traction loc, and an intake system. Now they said that once i get all of this on to bring it to their shop and they would do a custom dyno tune just for my car so that the air/fuel is set perfectly and they can get all the timing set dead on. They have a guy that comes there who has a 2005 GT and he had an intake off road x-pipe and a custom tune thru them and he ran a 13.32. This place seemed really cool but i was just checking if you guys thought they were sending me in the right direction.

 

yes and no, your a 5 speed, so go with the 4.10s

 

well like i said they left me with the choice for that...they said that its really all about what i want for that one...but other than the gear ratio does all that seem to be a good idea? Plus they recomended an NX nitrous kit...with the Gen-X 2 racing package aand the fire and ice option. Anyone know about NX on our cars because i dont want a generic kit...i want something made for my car!

Nx is good from my EXP i had the NX Ntercooler though so its a little dif than a nitrous set

 

1st off, most guys on here who do nitrous use ZEX.
2nd, for a 5 speed 3.73 is the better option actually. 4.10 is best for the auto to make up for not being able to launch like a manual.

 

alright..but again anoyone know about NX or have an opinion on and NX system?

 

bull, the 5 speeds have a taller OD why not go with a shorter gear?
