T-lock break-in?

The guy that did mine said the gears need breaking in for the first 1000 miles or so. He suggested short trips (50 miles at a time), let the car cool and go again. Longer and the gears expand too much which can cause irregular wear. T-lok I don't think it matters.

Well, I'm going on a 1500km trip tommorow, so I guess we'll see how it goes... I'm guessing that "taking it easy" means not going too fast? I'm not so sure how that will turn out 
. I could just leave in the middle of the night and stop every 100km or so and get the rest of my sleep in my car. Does anyone know how long the car has to be stopped to cool down?

Simply vary your speed and don't accelerate too hard... you'll be just dandy.

So that whole stop every 50 miles is going overboard? I just noticed that I get a sound when the car is decelerating under the power of the gears there is a "clicking" sound... I'm suspecting that it is play in the gears which will wear in?

im really not trying to hijack this thread, but how much did you guys pay for install/product?
im thinking about doing this through the stealership to obtain complete warranty on parts and install.
