Everyone I ever asked about it say's NO. I personally always wondered how adding a spacer would do anything at all? It just doesn't make any sense. None at all. It has to be the stupidest gimmick I have ever seen. [sm=forgetit.gif]

It adds air space to the intake plenum keeping rpm's a little higher everyone will critizie me most people dont have it. I think it has a little increase considering it does add more air and make it flow better.

I don't know if I'd get one or not but.............. my son has an 03 Mach1. We recently intalled a intake pelunium (SP?) spacer that was recomended by most of the guys on the forums he's in. It does the same thing a spacer would do and just increase the voulme of air allowed to the cylinders.
Why don't some of you rich guys get it dynoed !

The air that counts is the air that gets into the cylinder. Increasing the size of the plenum would ONLY help if there was not enough air available to fill the cylinder to atmospheric pressure WHILE the intake valve was open. With a CAI, I believe air flow is so good that there is no limitation, and therefore having a slightly larger plenum space is of NO value.
And... dyno tests have shown zero gain. They provide no value, unless holding down a newpaper on a windy day.
