ORIGINAL: imbus

+20HP POWER SPEED CHIP FORD FUSION OR MUSTANG 90-06 its 7 bucks

uses a resistance value of 3,600 ohms to override the sensor and signal the computer that it is receiving air at an optimal temperature of 59 degrees.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/20HP-...0018135963QQrd

so is this a joke or does it really work? has anyone ever tried it?

Yes it is a joke, Its a 25 cent resistor that tricks the onboard puter into thinking the air is colder than it is, which advances the timing.
It also, from what I've heard, triggers your CEL all the time and makes little if any gains.

I don't have one but have asked alot of questions about them. Most people here have SCT X-Cal. Most will come with three tunes most common I've seen are 87, 89, 91 or 93 octane. As for doing it yourself, loading the tunes is basic plug and play, if you mean can you create your own tunes I'll let someone else answer that. Again I don't have one,YET, but I have asked about a million questions on them.

SCTII has the best reviews from the research i've been doing....Just make sure if you get one you get a good tune from a reputable company like bamachips, brenspeed, alternative auto (one of the best for automatic tuning) or tunable induction. Theres a couple mroe i think but those are some of the most popular.

dont get it imbus,me my brother and our friend got something like that on e-bay.it was a little chip that looked like a resistor.i said what the heck,my brother paid for them, anyway they were 4.00.in my brothers 98 gt,he lost alot of horsepower,in my friends 89 lx 5.0,his wouldn't even start,at the time i had a 02 v6 mustang,i was to afraid to try it in mine.it said to unhook a sensor and it would bypass it and give 25 hp.bunch of bull, and we couldn't contact the guy.to get 20 or more horses,it takes alot more then 5 to 20 dollars..lol.
