Best place for C&L CAI and Programer

RE: Best place for C&L CAI and Programer
Cheapest is Evolution Performance... I believe. They are $565 for the combo.
You tell them what mods you have, and what tunes you want. Getting a 87 octane and 91 or 93 octane is typical. Then you have a third. I got 87 and 93 with CAI, and also 93 with no CAI, since I got my tuner before the CAI.
The Evolution tune works great. Everybody else who uses BamaChips, Alternative and Brenspeed are also very happy with their tunes. So, if price is the deciding factor, Evolution is usually the cheapest.

His question was... where is the cheapest place to get a C&L CAI... not any CAI.
A TI is another brand of CAI. Works just as well from all the data we have, but looks quite different. If you want to have part of the CAI painted to match your car, then you go with a TI.

ok, curiosity is killing me here. i am relatively new to the whole modding scene, so i've just got to know.....what exactly is a "tune?" I've seen it referred to many times on this board already but have no clue what it is! I apologize if i've somehow blasphemed or revealed a certain amount of ignorance!

a tune is when you change shift points, shift firmness, rev limit, top speed (governer), tire gearing to correct speedo, etc. with a tuner. It basically tells your engine computer something different from what it was before to change the performance of your engine in some way, or just the way your car runs.

Since you are interested in a CAI, read this: http://www.mustang50magazine.com/tec...ld_air_intake/
The testing was on a V8, but it will give you an idea of what is available and what you can expect from them.
