Which header to buy??

RE: Which header to buy??
Jim, if you can get a copy of the October issue of Mustang Enthusiast, they do an installation of the JBA shorties on a V6, along with the JBA true duals. There is a photo-log of the installation with suggestions on how to do the installation. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll see if I can scan in the article and email it to you.
There are three levels of finish on the JBAs, go for the Titanium ceramic coated mild steel (1617JT). Also they are certified 50 state smog legal (there's a plaque right on the headers) which can be handy if you are in a location that does smog testing.

RE: Which header to buy??
I have JBA Shorties (as seen in my sig) and I love 'em! They only took about 2 hours to install and they fit right on. I noticed that one smaller than the other but they seemed to go on so I guess that just how they were designed on the new mustang. At first I didn't really notice a difference and i have the same setup as Thomas Ford (True Dual Flowmaster 40 series w/ H-pipe) and after a few days to a week once they broke in a little bit more it started to make a difference. It sounds like there is alot more power coming from the engine. It doesn't necessarily sound more like a V8 but it just sounds like it's more powerful. I don't regret buying them but I've heard nothing but good about JBA but I personally don't know anything about MAC but that they're cheaper and the make Long Tube for the V6. They are also much lighter than the stock manifolds and I got the Titanium Ceramic coated ones. They have em on www.autoanything.com, they were $589 when I bought them but the uped the price to $622 whereas they're usually $639. That's where I got mine and they came perfect with all the hardware and everything! Hope that helped! Here's the link http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts...0A2096640.aspx

RE: Which header to buy??
ORIGINAL: Thomas Ford
I decided not to get headers. After I had dual Flowmasters installed with H-pipe many folks told me it sounds great and headers arent worth the extra money. The stock headers are just fine.
