Which header to buy??

Which header to buy??
Ive had my mustang for a few months now and im saving up some money to
do some mods to it. Ive already picked out the cai I want but im having trouble
picking the headers. I cant decide between the the MAC or JBA shorty headers.
Does anyone have experience with either one or some advice on which one would be better.
I want to stick with shorties so I dont have to redo my whole exhaust.

RE: Which header to buy??
From what I hear jba's fit a LOT better, they're a better quality, and the finish will most likely last longer.
However, if you look at the pictures of the jba's, they're not equal length. The mac's appear to be equal (or closer to equal) length.
So, the mac may make just a bit more power, but I don't think anyone's done a real comparison of the two on the same car to see if there was a difference.

RE: Which header to buy??
I have the mac's. They were a real B***H to install, took me 5 hours. The bolts that came with them did not fit the stang heads, and I had to remove the first two studs from the head on the drivers side and use the factory studs and nuts. Then the fitting for the tube that goes from the drivers side manifold to the intake did not have enough clearance to put the tube on the header so I had to dimple it with a hammer. Then I had to bend the tube (it's metal, so that is hard without crimping it) so it would go back into the intake. You have to grind off the bottom of the coil bracket or leave those bolts off as the header will sit on top of them if you don't . Then I had to put a floor jack under the passenger cat and jack it up so it would line up with the header flange. But they work as you can see by the et in my signature.

RE: Which header to buy??
I decided not to get headers. After I had dual Flowmasters installed with H-pipe many folks told me it sounds great and headers arent worth the extra money. The stock headers are just fine.
