Default Alternative Auto Tune

I just purchased the C&L and xcal2 from alternative. The tuner came with the 87 and a 89 octane tune. Does anybody know if you can get a 91 or 93 tune from alternative?

He doesn't make them, what he suggests is bump up the timing 2 degrees in the first two rpm segments and fill up with 93. That is what I have been doing. This made my car run 14.50's in the quarter.

So you would advance the timing. I already have been running 93 octane anyway. How do you do this. Would i reinstall the 89 tune and when it asks to go to optional parmeters go in there??

Ok I will try that. After doing so is that saved in the 89 tune or if i download the 89 tune again will i have to change the timing then also. Also if I wanted to fimr up the 2-3 shift what is 5 percent . Is it 5 percent or is it 5 percent more than the standard.

I don't know if you have to change it again, I would say if you return to stock then load the 89 back in, you will have to change the settings again. The 5% would be 5% more than it is set at in the 89 tune, which has increased shift pressure built into it. I have mine set at 25% increase on all shifts, but most folks don't like that kind of shift for around town driving.

Ok thanks for the help.. How hard is that 25% on the transmission? How long have you ran it like that?

Let me jump in here too. When I went to the track, my shifts were set by my tuner at 15%, but I'm running the 93 Extreme tune by Evolution. Rygen told me to bump them all up to 25% for my last pass, and showed me how to do that (thank you Todd!), but he advised me to return it to the regular 93E tune before leaving the track (which I did). That's my experience. If you wanna get the lowest ET's, raising them up might be a good idea, but for regualr driving you may prefer to have them lower.

I leave it that way all the time, but I don't recommend anything I do to anyone I beat on my car pretty bad.
