I’m contemplating about my next mod, (what I got is listed below) and I’m thinking about a pulley + belt. Any recommendations? Is this an easy do it your self mod??? I'd like to stick with do it your self mods 1st before anything like gears etc. that would need professional instalation....

 

I'm thinking about getting a pulley as my next mod too. Seems like the most reasonable thing to do next. We both have identical mods (pretty much)! The question is, alternator pulley or underdrive pulley? I've asked this question of a lot of people. If I remember correctly, the alt pulley dyno'd between 3-5hp and the udp dyno'd between 4-6. And, if I remember correctly, the alt pulley is cheaper and easier to install. I'm going to go with an alt pulley when I get the $$$, probably from PHP...sounds like that's where most people are getting them.

Actual results will be a lot less than claimed... also I had an issue finding a correctly sized belt... the recommended belt was to long resulting belt slipage and messed up my alternator cover... (remember the price of the crank pulley does NOT include the belt, while the PHP alt pulley does include the belt...)
