Default Blowers vs. Stroker

since it seems to amout to the same amount of $$$ what would be a better option to spend $4000 on, a S/C or Turbo of some kind or a stroker like:

what kind of power increase can one expect from a 4.5L V6???

LOL Randy. That reminds me of the line form Gone in 60 Seconds where Angelina Jolie's charter asks about what was better, boosting cars or sex. Nicolas Cage's character replies, how about boosting cars while having sex. [sm=drooldude.gif]

bad idea...that's just looking for a boom. i will get into details if you want, but just trust me it'll go boom. Really the stroker kit is going to end up costing more than a power adder because of all that's involved. with a stroker, you are gonna want cams and heads too, and dyno tuning. plus, it is probably the most complicated install job you could possibly think of, and if you can't do it yourself it is going to cost an assload.

I would agree about the $$$ involved in strokers, but me thinks a properly built stroker could survive a blower... and you say no cuz???

Agreed 100% Any sized engine can be F/I if it is built from the start to be a F/I engine. Yes bad idea to take a common stroker hi compression long block and a F/I to it and expect great results! Exciting maybe but not for long... Build it to be a F/I engine and make real good HP for a long time! 05SDI

lets not forget this is for the 4.0 OHV, not the SOHC.

there is only "coming soon" we have no idea on price, what it will actually stroke to, etc.
