I'm sure you'll get other responses from guys who know for sure but I have read that a good muller shop can fab the pipe for you for a few hundred. Wouldn't you need a X or H for a V6 to Gt conversion for the second muffler?

Do what's called Divorced Duals. Basically each exhaust bank has a dedicated exhaust pipe, no X or Y Pipe. If you're worried about the Cats for emission puposes, a good muffler shop can cut the Y off after the Cats and weld on straight pipes for you. No reason to bottle neck your exhaust by going from one Y to another Y (Essentialy an F'd up X pipe)

I suppose if I wanted to to have it true dual exhaust...BUT thats one thing I was trying to avoid I have too many race cars I just dont want this to fall apart just like any other crappy exhaust setup basicly closer to OE is better.

I just ordered a Pypes v6 system for not too much, it is only costing me $330 for the whole kit - Mufflers, mid pipes, x-pipe, and the hardware needed and its a slip fit exhaust so there isnt any welding.

If you don't want it to fall apart, do it right.
What kind of exhaust "falls apart"? I've done a custom exhaust on a 1975 Mustang II and put a GT H-pipe conversion on a 94 Mustang 3.8 ... The only kind of exhaust that i've seen "fall apart" is one thats 20 years old..
