Default RE: Gears?

Acrokat, so which one would you recommend for a daily driver? 4.10 or 3.73?

the other common recommendation is 3.73's if you want to run forced induction, and 4.10's if you want to stay NA

To be honest I dont have any aftermarket gears in my car. If I were to go with a set, I would go 3.73. That would give me a boost in acceleration while allowing me to go FI one day without worrying about losing traction when I granny start it.

id do 4.10s even with a DD, and i drove an older GT with 4.10s and a vortech at my step dads car lot, if the previousowner had some better then stock rubber and suspention work the car would of kicked *** rather then kicking the *** end around going into 4th gear

its really not a big rpm/fuel milage diff but you can start off in second alot easier in traffic with 4.10s
