Technical Details For 7.5" T-LOK Install
Hi guys,
I have decided to give you all the list of parts needed for installing the 7.5" T-LOK differential. Also listed are the costs incurred and where the parts were obtained for my install.
OK, from the top:
1.) T-LOK differential ($169.95+$21.95 shipping) (SpeedConcepts)
2.) 2x LM501349 Bearing (2x $20.44) (Ford)
3.) 2x LM501314 Bearing (2x $10.38) (Ford)
4.) XL-3 Additive ($6.66) (Ford)
5.) 3x XY-75W140-QL (x3 $18.37) (Ford)
Total Parts (Ford dealer) = $123.41
Labor @ 38,500 miles 4.5 hrs (axle shafts wouldn't separate after 38k miles)
If you get yours done with lower miles it should be around 3 hrs.
If you add gears at this time there should be NO EXTRA CHARGE! The gears have to come out and go back in anyway!!!! Don't let them BS you!
Hope this helps anyone who has questions.

You'll love it.
I had my Ford dealer do the install, as I've read horror stories about local shops messing up the installs and gear chatter, etc etc.
A few extra bucks is worth the peace of mind.

What about the gasket ? and "material disposal" fees? I have seen some of those show up on bills. There is also a crush sleeve. Maybe they can re-use the pinion seal, but I wouldn't want to do that. You might want to look out for those charges.
