Pypes install
do you guys think that it will be easy or even possible to install my true dual pypes x pipe when they come in on tuesday using a ramp? i really dont feel like wasting the money to have it installed, i have ramps and jacks and everything. is it save to completely elevate the car off the ground using a regular jack and ramps?
yeh i did that. Now heres the deal. Do you have something to cut the pipes? first of all you need to in order to cut the pipes to attach the x. and second, you wont be able to get the old midpipe out without doing so. Ramps I'd stray away from, and rather keep jack stands on the frame rails, because with ramps the axle will be depressed, and getting the midpipes over will be a pain. Also, once you have the midpipes over, you can just put a jack under the rear axle and you'll be fine to put the mufflers on. Something I noticed was that the driver side holes for the hangers were either painted in, or not threaded. What I did was took one of the bolts and a ratched and really worked the hole so it got threads in it, and then I screwed it in with the bracket on there.
