Cool that you went out there! too bad for the lack of info on the timeslip though. Get to the track with a 1/4 tank, not any less, not any more. Adjust the tire pressure as advised.
I got to say, that at 30k my fuel filter was so clogged that it did cost me 4 tenths!, but by the time I changed itI had installed gears and duals, so you might not get that much out of it, but it never hurts to change it any ways. I get mine at the dealer, and the fuel filter is on the drivers side under the car, beneath the black plastic panel just about even with the drivers seat.
My blue 05 ran 15.8 stock, so don't be too concerned.
Pretty cool running at the strip right?
At a good well prepared track take it up to 1300-1500 rpms and get into it quickly, don't slamit down, but if the track has bite you can nail it, let the car shift itself.
You will be wanting a tuner and CAI soon I bet!

Most of the 05+ V6 Mustangs I've seen at the track are running 15.7 to 16.3. One guy is running 13.1 with a supercharger.

My stats:
15.7 - Stock
15.9 - Added 2 1/4" dual exhaust with Manual GT mufflers. Yes, slower but looks cool.
15.5 - AddedX pipe to exhaust. Sounds really good now.
14.8 - Added C&L intake & custom tune. Now have more power that 1 wheel can handle.

Here is my other 6 banger Mustang. This my actual 1st car I bought for $400 in 1976.

Nice to see #'s heslekrants with every mod, wish I could but track is 1.5hrs away and would take a whole day out to do. Gotta hit the track myself one day if I can get around college and work.[:@]

How's those 4:10 gears working for you? I'm thinking that's my next mod along with taller & wider tires in the back.

My Son's(19) been doing most of the track time to get a feel before we get his 550+hp(flywheel) BBC 74 Camaro on the road.

He ran the Mustang last weekend with a full tank & 200lbs of extra stuff in the trunk and ran 15.0 every run. We have 2 tracks within 25 minutes so we go pretty often.

I love my 4.10's, people say that's too high a gear for any car, but there r 450rwhp cobra's on here running em, don't fear the gear. Definitly get 4.10's if ur getting bigger tires. U might even want to upgrade to an 8.8 and go 4.30's if ur getting a bigger tire! Look around. 4.10's I'd definitly suggest!

With optimal conditions and near perfectdriversthey're supposed to run 15.0-15.3's. But it's rare to see optimal conditions and perfect drivers separate or together.
