I like my Hurst. since I put nuts on the other side of the provided bolts I have no vibration at all. It's as smooth as our trans can get and with the torque limiters installed I have not missed a shift.

Thanks to all of the responders. I guess it'll be a Hurst, then. Used
them on some of my muscle cars and a Cobra replica with toploader
in the past, but I'm just an old fart trying to catch up on the new
technology.Thanks to all
Bob

Does the Hurst shifter work with the 5 speed behind the 4.0? I was under the assumption that the GT used a different 5 speed than the V6 cars? Can someone varify this?

Yes the V6 and GT have different 5speed trannys. But Hurst makes a shifter for both cars. I am going to wait for the MGW before I buy a shifter for mine.

Wait for the MGW, you will be glad you did. The hurst isnt bad, But vibration is an issue with them unless you use factory rubber bushings. The MGW totally eliminates shifter vibration and is totally adjustable vs "you get what you get" with the hurst.

I agree. The CHE k-member and torque limiters work extremely well when adjusted properly (otherwise they will rattle). But after I installed them my shifts were much more positive. So much so that I plan to keep my stock shifter (for now at least) and take the money I would have spent for an aftermarket shifter and use it for other upgrades to drop my ET.
