Default Best shifter

I know this is purely subjective, but opinions please on the best
shifter for street use. I know the Hurst is probably the best for
street/track use, but I don't want alot of vibration/noise. Primarily
want more positive shift gate and a shorter throw to take the
place of the factory "stick in jello" shifters.
Thanks,
Bob

My opinion is for the Hurst shifter. It is an easy DIY install, it has a very distinct shift gate and I have little to no vibration, and no noise. The throws are short, precise and lets face it, the Hurst shifter just looks hot.

the cars use the same tranny. so there should be not problem with installing it. 5R55S is used in both the GT and V6. im not guarnteeing that it will fit. im just saying the two cars use the same transmission, so why wouldnt it fit? the only thing that could be different is the location of the tranny relative to the engine, but thats fine since its just a replacment of the OE shifter, so according to common sense it should fit.

i guess youre right. you really shouldnt buy anything unless you know its gonna fit or you got so much money you can make it fit lol. umm idk what a ratchet shifter is, but it appears to be just a regular shifter. im not much on auto's so i have no clue really.
