Default Any suggestions

I havea 06 V6 Mustang. So far, I've put in Flowmaster dual Super44's with 3 1/2 pipes. I went down to Rad Motorsports today and they told me I should let him redo my exhaust to make my car faster. I'm pretty uncomfortable with letting him do that. But the whole reason why I went there was to order a cold air intake. They ordered me a K n N intake system. Does anyone have this specific intake system? If so, is it any good? Also, I'm thinking about installing Mass Air Flow Sensor and a new throttle body. Any suggestions?

Instead of going with the K&N system why not get a CAI and tuner combo. You'll definately feel more gains with the tuner added in.

I don't think you're going to get faster by changing your exhaust. You should notice a difference in sound. Unless he is talking about a CAI but you would probably need a tuner to tell any real difference.

Scrap the TB idea... don't even bother. Better off getting a CIA and tuner. I have the SCT tune (91 oct cali tune) and a C&L CAI.

You will have more fun with the tune and cai combo then you would ever with most anything else you've done to your car. I heard someone say the CAI and TUNE was mustang 101 :P I agree lmao.

If you spend X amount of dollars on any exhaust, the hp gains are still very minimal. With the tune and cai, just about everything changes. This includes your tires being changed sooner than you think. You also get a nice Scchwwoooooop sound under the hood at WOT

Yep, I agree. CAI + tuner will really wake up the car. After that, I would look into a set of LCA's, depending on your goals, look at some other items. I read the new zabtek tb actually shows some decent gains. I know two track guys that are running it.

Rad... sounds like a place to avoid... they are not going to make your car faster buy simply redoing your exhaust except maybe if they get rid of your cats... which I highly advise against....

Your car already has a Mass Air Flow Sensor... perhaps you meant Cold Air Intake??? I would recommend you go with a CAI/Tuner combo... the stock air box is actually pretty good up to 4,000 RPM...

Skip the Throttle Body... no gain until you put some kind of Forced Induction on the car...

They showed a gain on F/I cars... 6RWHP... I don't think anyone has seen any gains NA...

Even if they removed the cats the gains arent really that high without tune and supporting mods. Just go intake and tuner option. But more so that this I would do some research on your car to see what really works. There is a lot of good info on here just read up and you will learn tons.

As I read that, you have dual Flowmasters already. That being the case, I can't imagine any exhaust installed by them that could add horsepower, unless they switched you back to a good single aftermarket muffler. Duals really don't add much to a NA 4.0L versus a good single exhaust. As other have said, they could remove the catalytic converters, but then it would sound horrible and it may not be any faster. Maybe they would add an H or X pipe if you don't have one already, but again I don't think you'd see any performance gains.

As others have said, there are better CAI's than the K&N, but those will require that you get a new tune and handheld tuner. There are several package deals available for less than $600, which includes three custom tunes.
