Gears aren't something you should do yourself...
I'm 18 and i had no clue how to install gears let alone how to remove the rear axle assembly from my car. After reading a lot of articles and borrowing a dial caliper and micrometer, i set up my gears perfectly and saved myself $400.

they aren't as difficult as everyone keeps saying, unless you have tried to set up gears and failed miserably, don't say they can't be done by the average joe.

MN Moose you're my hero . I'm 18 too... and even if I am all that completely incompetentI would seek help! Not everyone on these forums lacks knowledge - and besides, how are you supposed to learn if you don't even try, right? trust me, I've got help to assist me, since I'll surely want to do it right.
