Thanks, themac.. u helped me out ALOT.
I have a few other questions for anyone to answer..
The FRPP Exhaust.. it won't sound ricey will it???
I'll prolly just get a cold air intake with a tuner. and exhaust so i'm HOPING that it'll sound good.
Here is my question, i was on the Bamachips website.. and i found the (05-08 Mustang V6 C&L Intake and X Calibrator 3 Combo for $625.00,) Do i need to buy a tuner thing or what im confused with that or is the x calibrator 3 the tuner.. and if i need to get a tuner does the place i buy it from tune it for me before they ship it or what? Because im thinkin of get the 87 octane but also be able to put 93 in also.. I guess that right.. What do most people perfer the 87 or 93? Thanks
1. The FRPP kit DOES NOT sound ricey at all. Once you break them in, they sound even meaner.

2. a - The Combo that Bama is offering (C&L intake + X Calibrator), the X Calibrator is the tuner.
b - You can choose up to 3 different tunes - pretty much everyone gets the 87 Performance as their base tune, but depending on what state you live in, some gas stations don't offer 93 octane, like California. If you're from California the highest octane rating is 91.

Like Mr. L wrote, the X cal 3 is the tuner, it's SCT's newer version. If you order from bama, and others, you get a choice of 3 tunes(you did with the x cal 2, I assume its the same deal). 87, 93... it's really up to you and your location, how much you want to spend on gas. The 93 tunes will net you the most gains in hp and torque, but we're not talking big numbers. The car feels more spirited, peppy, eager to accelerate. No way the FRPP sounds ricey, I get compliments all the time on the sound of my car. Just got one today, took the car back to the tint shop for their 10 day after-install check up. The guy said" oh this is that sweet sounding mustang. It sounded awesome running back in the bay" He asked if it was a GT, I said no, then he asked if I had flowmasters, I said no. Then I said, "Man, that's Ford Racing".... As I left, he and another fellow stepped outside to watch me leave.

I live in Pennsylvania, and we have 93 octane premium gas. Does Bamachips actually tune the tuner for you or what? And i dont understand how the base can be 87 but then u can change it into 93 or what? How do u drain all the gas out... Like one week run 87 gas and then a week or too or whenever u feel like putting 93 fuel in just do it. or do u gotta change a button or what? I hope someone can help me out.. I know the 05-08 mustang has 210HP, with 240 torque.. how much HP and torquewill i have with 87 tuner and also if i use 93 and also with a FRPP exhaust? thanks. i hope im not annoying.

He answered that in post #6

"To get back to 93, that requires running all of the 87 out of the tank, filling up with 93, and run almost atank of that, refilling again with 93before installing my 93 tune (the torque tune being my favorite)."

Matt I live in NC and the only performance mods I have are the following: BBK Intake, Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust. On the dyno I did 208.4hp and 248lbs torque. That was using just the 87 octane. I asked a performance shop that did the dyno if I tuned my car for 93 how much of a difference would I get he said maybe 6-10hp. Hope that helps.
