My honest 2 cents. If it was humanly possible to have that much patience(i did'nt,lol),i would apply that monies towards F/I if that's the direction you want to go.Aside that,it was a nice difference in the way the car acted to the throttle and some power gain in there but i don't think quite as beneficial as the autos experience..If you add the fact you need a xcal for the better mods anyway, well, there ya have it.

On my bone stock V6 with just a Magnaflow muffler, an Xcal2 w/VMPs 87 mileage tune and VMPs cai I got 29.1 mpg highway(406 miles on 13.953 gals)on a trip from Alabama to NY. With the car setup like the signature belowIgot 27.6 mpg(400 miles on 14.482 gals)and the car ran a 14.65@93.58at Orlando Speed World.Yes the tune is definatly worth it! That Mustang tech doesn't know **** about V6s.

Definitely get the cai and tune. A custom tune from any of the reputable tuners (Bamachips, Brenspeed, VMP, Alternative Auto) will make a very noticeable improvment in performance. Gas mileage won't change too much if you stick to the same driving habits. I didn't really notice any drop or increase in gas mileage with my 93 race tune from Bamachips while driving normally. Your gas mileage may suffer a bit because your driving habits will change . Sometimes its hard to resistgoing WOT when there is an open road with no traffic, or when merging onto the highway late at night. The tuner is also nice to have because it can alsobe used to read diagnostic codes. If you wanted to change your gearing or go with different size tires you would need the tuner to adjust for these changes.

Since I have installed VMP CAI+91 oct tunei feel i have a new car!!! Quicker acceleration, quicker gear changes!
AndI noticed that my JBA single axle back exhaust sounds nowdeeper and throatier with the VMP intake!
Definitively it worth it

I find it amazing that someone would tell you its not worth it. I recently got the CAI and tune for my 06 and I could immediately tell the difference. Definitely go for it...
