Default All out race 4.0

I picked up a 4.0 with 5000km on it for 500 bucks, figured I might as well.

I wanna build this up and see how long before It will blow up in the stang.

Im going to port the heck out of the heads and remove the rev limiter and see if I can get it to hit 7 grand for more top-end but what else can I do? I'll have the machine shop see how much the heads can be milled to up the compression.

If I picked up a couple turbos at the junkyard and rebuilt them, and fabbed them up, what would I need to change, injectors, MAF sensor and... ?

Could be a fun project, a nice change from the same ol 350's in my camaro.

Gonna need stronger valve springs or shims to prevent valve float at that kinda RPM.

Super Six has got your heads and cams, like said before you will need some new valve springs, plus the stock cams cut out at 5000 some RPMs but I guess you could get it turned where they would advance the timing even more when you get going that fast. As for turbos, your going to need bigger injectors and fuel pump. You will proably need a bigger MAF sensor and a forged bottom end for it to hold more than 8lbs or so, but if I am not mistakin the 4.0s have forged rods already so maybe just pistons. Then after all that work you will need a Dyno tune.
