Default V6 to GT bumper help

Just installed GT bumper. Noticed gap in the plastic wheel wells, and the foam impact absorber at the front of the car was not swapped out for one that said 'GT' on it. Will these issues become problems? Is there anything else that I should worry about? Thanks

I just did a V6 to GT swap Sat, and i bought the GT wheel liners they have an extra notch thing at the bottom and the foam you should shave down our else your grille wont fit correctly and it will push up on the bumper making it look distorted, to do this either buy a new GT one or take yours and use a razor knife and shave it off untill the bump is level with the slope of the un-bumped part, finally spray paint it to seal it off. thats what i did, oh and post some pics when u get a chance!

hold up, if u put on the lower aero shield ull hav to make a bracket to come off the radiator (two bolts on either side) and come down 1-1.5'' past the bottom of the radiator, then ull need a couple of screws and 2 bolts to hold it on.

You need the GT wheel well liners.
The front half only.

This is a common mod.. search function would help you, but here's an excellent "copy/paste" from another forum member who did a great job of explaining:

Check out this thread https://mustangforums.com/m_1121391/tm.htm it explains everything.

Here is a list of additional parts you will need:
-Foam Bumper isolator: 5R3Z-17C947-BA
-Splash Shield: 5R3Z-17626-BA
-Both Fender Liners: 5R3Z-16102-BA and 5R3Z-16103-BA
-Screws: N801169-S900 You will need 8 screws all together (2 packs)
-Nuts: W705992-S441 You will need 3 nuts all together (1 pack)

Just a hint- When installing the splash sheild that mounts under the radiator, The square shaped nuts (W705992-S441) have to be snapped into the bottom of the lower radiator support before the splash sheild is in place. There are small square shaped cut out already in place from the factory, the nuts just snap in place. Hold the splash shield in place to make sure you snap the nuts into the correct holes. Then use the screws (N801169-S900) to mount the sheild. It sounds complicated but it isn't. You will see what I'm talking about when you are under the car. If I remember correctly you will only use 7 of the 8 screws that you will need to order from Ford, so don't be worried if you have one left over.

To wire up your fog lights you will need the street scenes wiring harness. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku I recommend taking the GT grill out of the bumper before you install it. That way you have room to plug the wiring harness into the fog lights. If you try to install this while the grill is in place you won't have much room and you will probably have to unsnap it from some of its mounts to give you a bit more room.

This is an easy install. Don't be intimidated by it. I suggest using ramps or jack stands to get the front of the car off the ground because it makes things a bit easier.

Ok, so would I need to install that splash shield if I plan on getting an aggresive lip spoiler from cdc later? And wouldnt a stock GT grill plug into my pony package harness? Scratch that, I have the whole harness and bulbs still, shouldnt I be able to put the bulbs in the GT grill?
