I've done searches but cant find out answer to this. when you buy a tunner does it come with 3 tunes or the person you buy it from puts the tunes on it? Brenspeed sells used tunners taht are blank for a good price but can you download all the stuff you need from the sct website? or do you have to buy tunes?

A dealer like Bama or Brenspeed can email the tunes to you and you can upload them to your tuner. If Brenspeed will sell you a used tuner, i'm sure they would install 3 tunes on it for you, for an extra charge of course. I bought mine from Bama with 3 tunes on it, and Doug emailed me the 91 race free of charge.

You will have to buy the three tunes for a blank tuner. Ask Brenspeed to install three of there tunes for you. Most tuners charge about $50.00+ for each tune.

Ok well somebody bought it was $215 + 13 ship so @ 50 a tune would be 378 for 379 brenspeed gives a custom tune and then modified for 3 octanes, american muscle gives you 3 canned tunes plus one custom so what would have been the advantage?maybe if you just bought one or two custom tunes?

You can buy just one tune but it is nice to have a tune for whatever gas is available. I use the 93 as my DD but on trips I change to the 87 mileage. If the gas prices go up again I can put in the 87 performance and still get the benefits of the tune. I bought my tuner from vmptuning.com, he has great custom tunes and good prices too. $379.00 will get you a new tuner and 3 great tunes. I recomend him highly! You should also install a CAI & performance exhaust to get the full benefit of the tune.
