I have a 2008 automatic with alittle over 8k miles on it. And today when i was trying to leave my shore house i could not turn the key to start the car or turn the accessories on. Also the steering wheel was loose and I was able to turn it fairly easily. I was finally able to get it to start by turning the wheel while turning the key at the same time.

Just wondering if anyone else has had a simliar issues with their mustang

If you turn the wheel until it clicks (locks in the wheel anti-theft) after you shut the key off it tends to bind the locking mechanism. You have to really tug on the wheel to release the pressure on the mechanism so the key can turn. I think that was your problem.

my firebird and lincoln mark 8 will do the same thing from time to time.

I have had the same problem. Just had to keep trying.
