Default V6 Dual Exhaust Upgrade

Man...I was all set to buy the BOOM Tube dual exhaust kit...until I read that it's not really a true dual set up. It still forces exhaust gas into a single tube before breaking out to the two outlets. I don't think I'm left with many options after that. I can either piece it together myself(mid pipes, tubing, etc) or buy a true dual conversion muffler delete kit from Pypes. The funny thing is the price of the true dual conversion kit from Pypes is the same with or without mufflers...$300. It just chaps my *** spending the same amount for a kit without mufflers. Does anyone have any other suggestions for converting to a 'true' dual setup and still being able to use the BoomTube axlebacks? Thanks!

hey man all you need is a x/h pipe and a set of over axle pipes like a set of someones stock gt takeoffs&your good to go using your boomtubes shouldn't cost much over $250 if you don't want to do that just order the kit with muffler and re-sell them to make a little on the back end

I was trying to work up a price if I pieced it together, but I must admit it went a little over my head. Please try to clarify..

From Header ------Mid Pipe-----???????----exhaust

The cheapest I found the boomtube axlebacks was for $319 from StangMods. Any linkage to a cheaper price point would be appreciated. The Pypes X Pipe is the only such pipe I found that connects to a stock v6 manifold. After that pipe u can fit any GT axleback kit...and it reuses your stock cats. I like in Pa and we have emissions testing. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

you need an x pipe ( pypes or rock valley auto about $100) or h pipe ( used from a gt) like 4 liter said and a driverside over the axle pipe ( used form a gt I paid $15 for mine think napa only has pass side) and a band clamp (can get at napa for $12) and exhaust hangers and (4) 8mm bolts. (late model mustang about $50)
