Unhappy Problem when shift to drive

my 2005 mustang starts to roll forward with out any gas pedal activation, gets up to 5mph and I have to brake to stop the roll.

Not a problem on the freeway, but problem when I try to park or in slow stop and go driving.

What causes this? dealer wants $100.00 to research the problem.

PLUS gas needle does not work and rear window heater does not work either.

That sounds normal for automatic to me.

Once the engine is engaged you have to use the brakes to keep it from moving and it will always move a little at idle.
