I have been thinking of changing my rear end, tranny and engine fluids to royal purple, is this a smart move?

 

There are a lot of mixed opinions on oil. Do a search on Royal Purple and read through some of the threads. I personally use mobile 1 synthetic.
Some members on here swear by royal purple and some swear by mobile 1 or Amsoil. I think is seems to be based a lot on "this is what I've always used" vs anything else. Some members do give good reasons for their specific oil.

I would say read some of the threads and make the call.

 

The rear end comes with synthetic from the factory, and there is no service interval on it in the book to my knowledge. So far I have left mine alone. I have a stick and did the tranny at about 80K and the factory fluid was pretty dark. I went Mobil 1 in the tranny and am now at 120K miles no problems.
