If you're looking for bang-for-the-buck, then save the money and get a CAI & tune combo if you don't already have one. If you do, then UDP's aren't a bad investment especially if you can do the install yourself. On the GT's, they're good for roughly 4-8 RWHP depending on who you talk to. Not sure what the gain would be on the 6.

True, I should have clarified that they FREE-UP RWHP as opposed to implying that they MAKE RWHP. But after a CAI & tune, all RWHP gains are nickle and dime anyway (unless you're doing cams and/or some significant exhaust work) so gaining about 5 or so RWHP to the wheels per minor mod isn't so bad.

Short of going FI, a CAI & tune combo is the best bang-for-the-buck. Cams combined with LT headers (assuming you can lose the cats) are a nice gain but the install is comparitively expensive.
Exhaust won't buy you much on these cars except sound.

Yes, unless you plan on adding forced induction anytime soon the best mod on these cars is a cold and intake and a tune. I prefer the C&L intake with BamaChips tunes. The JLT intake isn't bad either.
Dual exhaust is not necessary, but the stock v6 muffler is extremely restrictive. You can just pick up a single muffler and gain some decent power. I ran a single muffler (JBA) before I went to duals.
