Hey, I know i read somewhere on here about a little mod for better throttle response. If i remember it was something like turn ignitoin on to run not start slowly depress the pedal all the way down and after that idk what to do. If you could help sweet. http://autobglo.com/2007/11/14/diy-f...-modification/ i found this so i may try it also. Thanks

just recaliberate the drive by wire. like you said, turn key to on (don't start) very slowly press gas pedal to the floor, slowly let it back up, turn key off. Wait 30 seconds and start it up and drive away. I think it is even in the owners manual. If I were you I wouldn't do that "mod" that you linked. I did the recaliberation a couple times in a row and it drove a lot better. Also when I put my tune on, it went away.

Try the recal before you mess with the pedal!

if it doesn't do the trick, do some more reading on here (mustang forums) before you take the pedal apart. Check out the "search" option at the top of each page, you can learn a lot.

Yea, as easy as bleeding the clutch on a manual.
The stop bolt trick fixed my throttle lag.

I have one of those Owner Manual's but it's too hard to use. Next time I'm getting an Owner's Auto. I hear they're easier...

Despite popular belief, the Owners Manual will NOT burst into flames if exposed to light and the human eye...

Haha... reminds me of an old chemistry geek way to booby trap a book.

Dissolve a piece of white phosphorus in some carbon disulfide. Get a book....

I won't detail the rest, because I know there's at least one of you out there that would try this.

If you know enough chemistry you don't need me to tell you the rest

Darned funny!

I really shouldn't bust on ANYONE about not checking th OM. I'm almost as guilty as others here. I just get lazy on some occasions, forgetful on others. Same thing with the search feature. I'll be the first to admit that I've started threads and THEN said to muself, "Myself, I should have done a search FIRST."

Yes, the throttle recalibration usually works. If not, either get a custom tune or reload your tune.

I just did the throttle recalibration twice in a row and you can definitely tell it has a higher flow air filter and muffler now! Thanks for the tip!
