$1000 is kinda high, but it is not unheard of for a tuned exhaust system that comes with the warranty.

for a guy like you, who's chasing big power with top of the line systems, $1,000 isn't a bad investment. But for the OP who will never go with F/I it's a waste of money.

And throwing some business to a local shop owner is good for everyone.

Thats the kit I wanted for dual exhaust, price does seem high but it does come with the rear bumper which would cost 180+ and even more for shipping on its own.

See that is a huge difference, the rear fascia piece alone is worth buying the kit for the 2010. True factory replacement. That is something I didn't think of about the 2010, how easy would it be to DIY your own dual exhaust?

I get so sick of hearing this because it is not true.

Apples to Oranges
The price difference between a base 2010 V6 Premium vs a 2010 GT standard is 4k

Apples to Apples
The price difference between a base 2010 V6 Premium vs a 2010 GT premium is 8k

For 8k I could get the following:

Dual Exhaust - $600
Aluminum Driveshaft - $500
Supercharger - $4000
8.8 rear end with gears - $800
Springs/Shocks - $700
Rims/Tires - $1000

And still be under the price of a GT, but with better rims/tires, better driveshaft, better gears, and faster than the stock V8. So explain to me again why it would be better?

on paper, it may look good to get a "standard" GT over a "Premium" V6 (approx 2-3k diff for 05-09 models). Human nature doesn't allow this. mustang enthusiasts mod their cars and in the end, a GT is more money because you cant lie to yourself and say that you would keep your GT stock. on top of that, GT mods are pricier than V6 mods.
