Glasspacks are mostly universal fit meaning you'd have to tweak around working out a way to fit them.

There are a lot of good mufflers on the market specifically for the S197, not sure why anyone would want to fit glasspacks considering their lifespan issues

Search around among the various vendors and try to narrow down just what it is that you want. For example, there is a difference between a healthy rumble and just plain loud. BTW, don't hold out any hopes that any muffler(s) or exhaust system on a sixxer to duplicate the V8 sound either - the cylinder firing sequencing won't let that happen.

There are many options out there, I would hesitate to go the "glass pack" route (ie: JC Whitney) as I would not want my car sounding like a outlaw sprint car. Alot of guys (me included) use M/T GT take offs, they provide a nice deeper rumble but no drone at highway speed. V8 sound, not quite.....but they are a huge improvement over the stk muffler and they don't mimic a "fart can" either!

Don't buy the theory that if its a V6 it will sound like crap no matter what you put on.....its not true.....just be selective on the type of cans you install.

I've got two friends, each with 2006 4.0s. One went with the x pipe and axle-overs from Borla with their more aggressive muffler. The other went with pypes x pipe system and the less agressive Borla mufflers. Both sounds really good at idle and WOT

I have a Borla kit. X pipe, over-axle, mufflers. I love the sound, no drone. Kinda pricey, but you can find it on sale sometimes.
This is the kit I have... http://www.jegs.com/i/Borla/157/140176K/10002/-1#
Although I got it on sale for $760 from jegs
