Default New Clutch problems- need help

I recently bought a new Kevlar metallic racing clutch and i installed it and once i pumped the clutch enough to build pressure and filled the brake resivior to make up for the fluid i lost when i took the transmission out i noticed the clutch still feels stock. i felt my friends racing clutch(same everything) and his felt way different. i was wondering if maybe i had an air bubble in the line? the clutch does have about an inch of play before it is hard. i have driven it about 200 miles and it feels fine but not like a racing clutch. any feed back would be helpful. thanks.

Did you bleed the line to get all the air out? Replaced my clutch last year and bleeding that line was a real pain in the rear, not much space to work in.

He doesn't need to worry about the lack of space. Only early production '05 cars even HAVE a bleeder under the car (Ford deleted it as a production change). The bleed procedure on later cars involves pulling a vacuum on the brake reservoir and pumping the clutch.

Probably the same one that engineered the new system, which is easier on your knuckles, but takes some doing, repetition special tools to get a good bleed.

Or parking it facing up hill at a 45 degree angle or better
and slowly depress and slowly release the clutch pedal
to bleed the system...

You successfully used the words "****** block" and "vacuum pump" in the same post.
Sir, I salute you.

Maybe if you try and bleed it while taking off, the Gs
will pull the air out and force the juice in??

Wait, that wont work...
