x2 flash SCT

Default x2 flash SCT

i have an SCT flash drive. its the x2. also i have a v6 2007 mustang. how do i hook up the flash drive to my computer so i can create my own tune for my car or how do i edit the tune in general??

i bought it used and it already has some good tunes on it, but i want to edit it more myself.

i believe u need to get a special wire, that hooks up via usb. try going to the sct website, i'm sure they have them there

the cable part isn't the problem I just don't know anything the software

I don't think you have the software to make your own tunes - I think that only a trained SCT dealer gets that software. You can only make adjustments on the handheld unit and then only on those parameters that the tuner left open to you.

Since you bought it used, was it unlocked from the original car? Unless the person you bought it from returned their car to stock settings it will still be locked to their car. Also, tunes are written for specific computer codes so the tunes won't work on your car unless the tuner is both unlocked and you have the same computer code as the car the tune was written for.

From reading your last thread on the intercooler on a non F/I car and using that "93 fule" and your 250 hp v6 with nothing but a CAI and Tune......I don't believe you should be messing with ANYTHING else on your car without supervision of a professional or at all honestly.....sorry bud.
