Default 2010 4.0L v6 Mustang vs. 2010 Challenger SE

Who would win?

I have a recently purchased 2010 mustang v6 and my brother-in-law has an also recently purchased 2010 challenger SE. I really want to race, but haven't found the time or place to do so. I have looked on the internet for videos with the two, but can't find anything useful.

2010 Mustang v6 (210 hp) ~ 3300 lbs.
2010 Challenger SE (250 hp) ~ 3700 lbs.

Stock, I don't think you can beat him in a straight away. He has 40 more horses, even though his car weighs 400lbs more. In reference to curvey/whindy roads the Mustang is a lot more agile than the Challengers. You may have a chance on whindy curvey roads.....
Maybe if you added a CAI/Tune and gears, you could possibly beat him in a straight away.
Just my 2 cents.

I think you can beat him from a dig, sorry I thought it was a 2011 stang, I think within a car either way.

+1 for the CAI/Tune

Then you'd have the upper hand

Is your car stick shift? if so at a dig you will, at a roll I doubt it

That extra 40hp needs to compensate for the 400lb difference. So I'd say that it may just come down to the driver. But i think you'd have to have a CAI and tune (see above) ^^^ if you wanted to keep up imo. i am surprised the base challenger is aprox.400 lbs more than the v6 stang. It sure looks bigger. Their stock tune is more set up for racing than that of the mustang (so im told). Hence you should be on top w/ a cai & tuner. For quickness I believe that torque is more important then HP the Challenger only has 10 more but weights 400+ pounds. Prediction: Mustang

Yea I was deciding on what to add to it lately and a black pony delete grill is what i recently bought. Around christmas time I'll probably add a BBK CAI along with a tune. and Can you tune it at the ford dealer instead of buying one?

You can go to a shop & have it done... but for as little as you have done. It isn't worth it. You'll be fine getting a tuner and then getting a custom tune from BAMA aka American Muscle or Brenspeed.

well now that you mention it I think over a period of time i'll buy a CAI and a throttle body and install them all at once then get it tuned
