Exclamation Pypes True Dual Exhast Fuel Line Help

I have a question. I just installed my Pypes X pipe and Mid pipes to gt takeoffs. Fitment was a pain. Now that its done I am looking at the Right midpipe and there is only about 3/8" to 1/2" clearance from my fuel line which is hard plastic! I use my car mostly for commuting. Am I going to die on the freeway? how much heat can it take? Overall is this a huge problem. Thanks

If you installed it per directions should be safe! Let me know cause I'm doing mine next weekend!

I installed it per spec but that just seems a little close to me. None of my pipes move as they are very sturdy . Its just the spacing and heat im worried about

Ok so I drove 78 miles home from work today, I stopped at the chevron about 1/2 mile from my house to fill up then I went to my driveway and immediately checked the fuel line. The line seems like it is actually metal it had the silver heat shield around it so I didn to want to remove it so I was felling on the part of the line that was exposed. The fuel line didnt seem hot at all and I dont think it could have cooled off in the time it took for me to get gas. I still want to put something there or maybe even get the pipe re-done unless others are riding around like this. 3/8-1/2" still just seems a too close to me. I was thinking of putting Exhaust wrap to hold the heat in at that specific point but will this actually help? The wrap would be cutting down on my clearance. Some help/advice? Thanks

Thanks for the comments. I've got my jacked up and planning on starting tomorrow. Think I'll take a look at the gas line, before I start doing any cutting. I think mine is basically the same. It's from NTO, GT take-off mufflers, and Pypes makes the x pipe and mid-pipes. I'll keep you posted....OH, mine is an '09 ragtop, but doubt if there's that much difference...
