But if neither mod is even noticeable that kind of defeats the purpose.
Without a tune the CAI isn't going to do much for you. If you don't want to save for the combo and want to add something now, at least with the exhaust you'll get some satisfaction with the sound. Although you're not going to get any noticeable gains from that either. If you drop the cash on a CAI alone I think you'll be disappointed.

I agree with Mook. Heck, I ran a tune with the stock air box
for a long time. When I finally got the C&L CAI and new tunes,
I didn't notice a big difference in performance.
I will say, with the CAI I noticed a slight improvement with the
exhaust tone. As far as duals go, I mainly did it for looks.
I did the GT manual take offs with an H pipe. They are not loud
and I think they sound pretty darn good.
The CAI/Tune combo? It's mostly the tune. IMO.

Either mod would be worth like 5hp. Get a tuner first like rls said and go from there.

Thanks, from what everyone is telling me the tuner is the biggest gain for that price. So I will go with the tuner. But if I get the tuner first, and then lets say 3 months later I add a CAI, would I have to re calibrate anything or will the CAI immediately respond to the existing tune that I had on my car for those 3 months?

Get a tuner from American Muscle. Free tunes for life man, no worries then.

How exactly does the free tunes for life work? I've seen that before and I was planning on getting the sct anyways but how would I get free tunes to accomodate future mods?

Free tunes basically works like this. Say you order a 91 Octane tune from them. If you ever add another mod which requires a modification to your tune, they will modify it and email it back to you for free. If you get bored and want to alter some parameters, they will do that for free. For the rest of your life!!! Or at least as long as you have the car lol.

Its free tunes as long as you keep that particular tuner. (As long as you unlock your tuner from your car b4 you get rid of it.)
