Default first time at the track

I went to the track yesterday for the first time. I was hesitant to run my car because its my daily driver and have heard a lot of stories about people destroying their clutch, or breaking things on their cars. Well I decided what the hell, I drove over an hour with the local mustang club to get to the track and the cost for 4 hours unlimited runs was only $60. The weather was nice and cool out and everyone was saying that numbers should be good. My best run was 15.204 @ 93.98 mph my second best was 15.371 @ 93.69 mph. I was told that my numbers are pretty respectable for a 5 speed manual 4.0 bone stock with only true dual exhaust! A friend with a 2007 v6 auto with true duals, JLT CAI, and 93 tune ran a 14.412 @ 93.03. I told him after he showed me his slips that I am now convinced about buying a tuner and CAI for my car! I had a great time, learned a lot and got in 20+ runs.

Thats cool, going fast is fun and addicting, I'm not the drag strip type, I like taking turns at high speeds at a race track, as long as you have fun and enjoy it, then its worth it.

wow that sounds awesome man. What CAIs were you thinking about? I'd get the thickest one if your going to add a tune so you'll get the most power. I'm thinking C&L?

Mark I have to look into C&L! The guy with 14.4 swears by JLT CAI, and I'm starting to believe him, we ran twice he had 14.585@92.89 and 14.512 @93.03 he walked me! We had similar MPH but I still lost!
