Cai stack racing?
If youre going for a No tune required CAI, its only like $20 less then the BBK and there is plenty that have used the BBK I would spend the extra $20 for piece of mind with the BBK then some pretty much unknown product.
hell no. the filter is tiny and won't flow much air. the tube is black metal and will absorb a ton of engine heat, therefore increasing your intake air temperature. you want a cold air not hot. a cold air intake is not worth buying unless it requires a tune. spend the extra money on a JLT intake and tune. you'll be happy you did
I've never heard of stack racing myself but I can tell you that just because the tube is black and metal does not mean it will absorb a ton of engine heat. The same is true for any CAI or for that matter the "black" plastic tube that comes on the stock intake. The fraction of a second that air spends traveling between the filter and the throttle body / intake plenum is no where near long enough to increase the air temperature from heat soak. Without a tune a CAI's only real purpose is to dress up your engine bay a little. It won't make a difference in your performance. If it does have a small filter than izzyocon could have a valid point as it might restrict your airflow somewhat but it all depends on how small it is.

Stack Racing is a known supplier of performance and dress-up parts. However, I'll bet that "their" CAI is made by someone else and all they do is re-badge it.
Spend the money on a tune-required CAI & custom tune combo. Any other CAI would be regretable.
